2019 Conservation Stewardship Project: Barberry Busting
Howard County Rec & Parks - Natural Resources, Environmental & Parks

MPEA | Southwind Trail Head | Tues. June 25 | 9-11:30am

Japanese barberry is a formidable foe of the environmental area. Controlling this nuisance plant requires continued efforts every year. Luckily our steadfast helpers are adept at removing it. On this day, we'll dig, yank and wrench these spiny shrubs from the ground. Long pants and long sleeved shirts are a must!

Volunteers will dig and pull Japanese Barberry and potentially other invasive plant species.

No experience necessary.
One-time volunteers are welcome.

What to Bring:
Closed toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeves are required. Bring your own snacks and water. Tools, training, and supplies will be provided.

Volunteers under 18 yrs old are required to participate with an adult/parent.
