2021 Patapsco Heritage Greenway (PHG) - Invasive Invasion | Bernard Fort House Lawn | October 31, 2021 | 10am - Noon

Invasive Invasion is a free event for families in the Ellicott City area to learn about invasive species, water quality, and environmental history (specifically the Bloede Dam). During this event, there will be 3 stations on the lawn. Families will visit each station and learn about each of the 3 topics presented. During the invasive species station, families will learn about overall plant cycles, be introduced to Japanese Stiltgrass, learn how to properly remove stiltgrass, and then be given 1 trash bag to fill with pulled Japanese Stiltgrass.

Job Duties:
- Learn about overall plant cycles
- Properly remove stiltgrass
- Fill pulled stiltgrass in trash bags

**The Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks will not be able to provide masks. Please bring your own and be prepared to practice social distancing while volunteering.**
